KEY VERSE:
I Peter 5:8-9
Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour. Resist him, steadfast in your faith, for you know that your brothers and sisters in all the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.

FAITH STORY:
Daniel 1

FAITH FOCUS:

They were given new names and were to eat the palace’s food and wine, but Daniel did not want to defile himself so he suggested that he and his friends eat only vegetables and water for ten days. If he and his friends looked healthier than the other men after ten days, then they would continue eating only vegetables and water; if not, then they would eat the same as the other men eating the palace’s food. God provided for Daniel and his friends, and after the ten days they were healthier than the other men. Daniel and his friends received wisdom, knowledge, and service in the king’s court for staying faithful to God.
