In this vision, Isaiah saw firsthand God’s indescribable glory and holiness. In light of that holiness, he was terrified because of his sin and the sin of his people. One of the seraphs touched his mouth with a live coal and his guilt was removed. Then Isaiah could say yes to God’s call on his life.
