| SESSION GOAL: Students will learn that the way to truly defeat evil is not to cling to their lives, even in the face of death, but to know that victory over death belongs to us because of the death and resurrection of Christ. SESSION OBJECTIVES: By the end of this session, the students will: • Students will learn the symbolism of the images portrayed in this passage in Revelation. • Students will connect the cosmic happenings written about in this passage with the cross and the example Christ gave of winning out over evil through his sacrificial death. • Students will express the hope found in this chapter for the hardships we face. MATERIALS NEEDED AND ADVANCE PREPARATION: 1 Chalkboard with chalk OR dry erase board with markers. 2 Bibles for the students 3 The movie, The Radicals, cued to the scene near the end where Michael Sattler is tried and then burned at the stake.
