Ephesians 1:17-19 FAITH STORY Ephesians 1:15-23 FAITH FOCUS After a glorious opening of blessing and praise (verses 1-14), Paul now turns to a prayer of thanksgiving and intercession. Paul is thankful for the congregation’s faith and love for all the saints. He also asks God to give them resurrection power and the ability to recognize and believe that they have this power and the wisdom to use it wisely. This realization leads to hope. That hope and power ultimately rests in Christ. God has made Jesus head over all things for the church, which is his body, the fullness of God who fills all things. SESSION GOAL to help youth claim the resurrection power offered by God to empower them to live as mature disciples. Continued... |
