YOUTH GROUP LESSON 23

| MATERIALS AND ADVANCE PREPARATION: 1 This lesson happens in three parts: a planning session, activities away from the classroom, and a debriefing session 2 Contact a prison and make arrangements for youth to tour it 3 Contact a homeless shelter and make arrangements for youth to spend time with the persons who live there 4 Locate a wheelchair 5 Contact a hospital and make arrangements for your youth to visit and spend time playing games with children in the hospital 6 Bibles for everyone 7 Cards with the verses from the Message printed on them for everyone 8 Small glass prismsone for each student to take home SESSION OUTLINE FOCUS: Ask students to take a minute to decide if they are more like a sheep or a goat, and why. When they know what they are, go around the room and ask them to share. Then divide the group in two partssheep on one side of the room, goats on the other. CONNECT TO THE BIBLE STORY: Hand out the Bibles and ask everyone to turn to Matthew 25:31-46. Read the passage as follows: Verses 31-36Narrator Continued... |
