| WORSHIP OUTLINE PRELUDE: As people walk in, simple acoustic guitar music is playing. The room will be lit with many candles and set up with a lot of round tables set throughout the room. CALL TO WORSHIP: Worship leader: To all God’s beloved in (name of your church), who are called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. GATHERING AND PRAISE: Congregational songs that have been chosen based on what your congregation enjoys. OPENING SCRIPTURE: Acts 2:22-36: This passage should be shared dramatically. Change verses 22 and 29 so they begin with “Brothers and sisters.” In verse 36, change “the entire house of Israel” to the name of your church. RESPONSE AND CONFESSION: Immediately after the scripture is read, a person stands up in the congregation and says: “I have crucified Jesus with my sins. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have all turned to our own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. What should we do now?” Continued... |
